The yellowbird was perfect for our stay. It was a great location with an amzing view. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the Self Catering facilities were the best i'd come across and it was cleaned daily with new towels. The noise was only a problem on 2 nights and these were at the weekend. Oh and it was reported in the newspaper on the day we left that the police are clamping down on the noise in the area, so even better! All in all a wonderful stay, thankyou!!

This was the 1st time we had stayed at The Yellow Bird but it definitely wont be our last!! Cleanliness - second to none, clean towels & sheets everyday. Reception staff - very friendly & helpful. Night door man (wears glasses) - brilliant.I had read some reports on Trip Advisor about the level of noise from the nearby clubs & was a little concerned that we had made the wrong choice, on the nights we were in bed at a reasonable hour (not many) the noise did not interfere with our sleep, all I can say to these people is when in Barbados get a life!

WOW... I was so excited to see the Yellow Bird still here..... I first stayed here in 1986 and then again in 1987!!! I had a wonderful time then.. The place looks great, drivng by brought back so many memories. I was in Barbados via a cruise. Rented a MOKE, to tour the island and see what is new. I certainly will recommend my clients to come here, it's in a great location!!!

This is my second time to stay at the Yellow Bird. Three years ago, I simpy chose it at random as a place to spend one night in transit to St. Vincent. I selected it then because it was reasonably close to the airport (about 15 minutes) and price.
I liked it so I came back again because of the location (not only near the airport, but in the center of lots of activities such as restaurants and night life), price and a very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel has its own restaurant , the Flying Fish, which is also very good. Our large room included a kitchen and a balcony overlooking the swimming pool and beach.
I think the Yellow Bird offers a lot of value for the price and I will definitely stay there again.

I have just got back from Barbados after spending 2 fantastic weeks with my two friends at the Yellow Bird Hotel.

The hotel is situated near the main road so it's easy to get to the buses and other beaches - Every single bus is just $1.50 BBDS - you cant beat that! Try out the Reggae buses they are an experience!

The staff are brilliant. They will do anything to help you and are always there with a smile. The room was cleaned spotlessly everyday - couldnt fault it. The room has a fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, utensils etc. There is also a convenience store just down the Gap.

The Flying Fish Restaurant and bar which is based there has the best two chefs on the island - Jose and Troy! Also a big hello to Monique, Rose, Candice, young Troy - our handyman, Michelle, Cheryl Ann, Nicole and all the other staff that made us feel so welcome.

I wouldnt advise this hotel for children as you do get noise from Jumbies and the Reggae Lounge at around 8pm, which they are working on but it wasn't a problem at all. If you want to
take kids I suggest going to the other hotels at the other end of the Gap.

We had an Ocean Front view room which is the best view I have ever had from any hotel - waking up to that every morning was like being in paradise.

The people of Barbados are warm and friendly. I want to say a big hello to Birdman who has a stall opposite the hotel selling all sorts - he was great!

I want to reccommend a lounge bar called Pravda just next to the Hotel. Very classy and very different to the other clubs on the Gap - playing everything from Funky House to Rare Groove soul - wicked! Hi Paul!

There is so much more I could tell you but you need to go and find out for yourself. I will definitely be going back to this hotel next year.
(looking for deals now!)

My sister Tina and I just got back from Barbados on Wednesday, had a fab time.
The hotel we stayed in was the Yellow Bird Hotel feet from the beach, gorgeous white sand and turquoise sea mmmmm. to be there again! The hotel was great, very very clean, cleaned every day and really cleaned I mean!! Fresh sheets and towels, washed floors, nothing was to much for them. The staff were fantastic so cheerful, and very polite. It also has a swimming pool, cleaned everyday too.

The restaurant underneath our hotel was great, lovely food, anything you wanted you would get with a big smile and a "your very welcome", and Rodericks cocktails are to die for! They were also very helpful as to where to go in the evenings. This was only a 3*hotel but should have been 4* .

This hotel is great for couples or mates holidaying together but not for families with young children 'cause its right in the heart of St Lawrence gap and noisy with the night club/bars very near.

It was lovely waking up in the morning, hearing the waves break on the shore, and seeing the Bajan oldies fishing with their nets that they carried on their shoulders. Although we didn't go scuba diving, there are a few schools that used our pool and we watched them go out on the boat to use there newfound skills. We also saw young lads bringing back huge Marlin fish whilst eating our breakfast feet from the sea.

We'd definately go again, we loved it! You won't be sorry!

We had a WONDERFUL time in
Barbados and a fabulous time at your property.

We will return to The Yellow Bird because we can't wait to drink in that gorgeous view
again.

Please give your front-desk staff a big pat on the back. Michelle, Monique and Margaret are a huge asset to your Hotel. They are so friendly and made wonderful suggestions that enhanced our trip immensely.

We really enjoyed The Flying Fish too. Not only is the food great, but they
make a super Pina Colada!

Until next time,

We had a fabulous time and will definately be back. They went the extra mile to answer our questions and inquire about various attractions on our behalf. The rooms were well equipped and clean. And the location was perfect !!! We raved to all of our family and friends that they must stay at the Yellow Bird when they visit Barbados. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

We are missing Barbados because we had a fantastic time and we cannot rate the Yellow Bird highly enough. I have been singing your praises to everyone who asks about our holiday.

From the time we arrived until we left, the staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I must particularly thank the lady who serviced our room during our stay. She kept the place spotless and I was impressed by the fact that linens and towels were changed daily. I have stayed in five star hotels and not had this. Special thanks also goes to Roderick in the bar for his lime margeritas. They were the best to be had in the Gap. Nobody else mixed them like Roderick. Our thanks also to the chef on duty the night that Hurricane Dean passed by as he cooked us take-away before the kitchen closed down for the night when most other places were closed.

The apartment itself was well appointed and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. I was lucky enough to be shown the penthouse and this was even more fantastic. We would definately consider this for our next stay.

I know that people say that the hotel can be noisy because of the music from the bars. But I can honestly say it never kept any of us awake and anyway if you stay in the Gap then you should expect it to be lively!.

Thanks again for wonderful time and hope to be booking to come again very soon.

I was recently in Barbados (8-22 to 8-25) and I stayed at your establishment in rooms 305 and 401.

This email is to reiterate the fact that you have an exceptional staff that made me really proud to be a Barbadian. They all took pride in their jobs and really went out of their way to make my stay very comfortable.

The employees at reception, housekeeping and the restaurant staff were all gracious and I felt like I really came home every day that I would return from my various outings. I have been living abroad for 30 years and on each visit my husband and I stayed on the West Coast. This was my first stay on the South Coast and because of the comfort level that I found at the Yellow Bird, I know that my future visits will be with you.

Again, congratulations to you and your staff. You are definitely doing something right and I think it should not be a secret, therefore, I will be sure to share this information with my friends who may want to visit Barbados as well.

I truly enjoyed my visit, and this is the first time in 30 years that I was remorseful about returning home to New Jersey. Specifically, Leroy and his other partner handled our luggage with such care. Monique and her crew at the front desk were extremely hospitable, and Icy, Cyrlene and Marcia in housekeeping did their best to keep our rooms immaculate. There are other employees that made an impact as well and I want to say thank you.

Please be sure to convey my thanks and gratitude for all they have done to make my stay an enjoyable one. Last but not least, Antonia Hinds the college student, was the first individual I dealt with when I made my reservations; and she did a great job in getting me to make my decision to stay at the Yellow Bird. Therefore, in closing, I wish to thank Antonia for her professionalism and the extra effort she made to ensure that I did not make any other inquiries regarding alternate accommodations after speaking to her on the telephone.

Thank you all and I do look forward to my next visit.

My friend and I booked this hotel as we won flights to Barbados, from the time we arrived to the time we had to leave (2 weeks) we had a great time staying at these self catering apartments, fantastic location in the heart of St Lawrence Gap and a stone's throw away from all the night life was a big bonus. Great location with restaurants and bars so nearby, the apartment was always cleaned and maintained in top notch condition with air conditioning, the staff were friendly and helpful at all times, we really had a good time and it was like home from home (without the sunshine!) and the cocktails made by our friendly barman, Roderick made our stay even more enjoyable, pina colada's were the best I've had!! Definitely would consider staying at Yellow Bird again, recommend it - only thing, bring a set of ear plugs if you intend on having a night in since the bars around can play loud music into the wee hours of the morning...overall I would recommend Yellow Bird.

I have been to Barbados in 2004 and had stayed at another hotel. I decided to try the yellow bird hotel this year. I arranged the booking through contacting the hotel directly via email. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were treated well. We ( myself, my partner and two children ) were shown our room and also offered alternative rooms The room was nice and spacious and exceptionably clean and well maintained by the cleaners throughout the holiday period. All of the staff were genuinely polite and friendly. They were also very helpful in providing local information. I have stayed at several four and five star hotels in the UK, also i have stayed in hotels in Europe, south America, the Caribbean and Africa. I can safely say that the condition, cleanliness, maintenance of rooms and staff are comparable to the top hotels that i have stayed in. The room was spacious, air-conditioned and also had an overhead fan as an alternative to the ac, the bathroom was cleanly and the floor was spotless. the accommodation enhanced our overall enjoyment of the holiday. Would i recommend this in the future. Yes, definitely.

I recently returned from a stay at the Yellowbird. All of the Restaurant/Bar and Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. For example, the airline lost my checked bag, and they helped me contact the airline and put the bag in our room when it arrived late at night.

They also helped us get a rental car, which was the easiest process I have ever had (and I have stayed in Barbados many times). The Hotel is conveniently placed to walk anywhere in the Gap.

The pool is small but very clean and refreshing. The rooms have all the comforts (two double beds, table with 4 chairs, 2 closets and dressers, standard refrigerator, 4-burner stove with pots, pans, utensils and dishes, air condinitioner, full bathroom, sliding glass door to patio or balcony, etc.). It is conveniently placed next to nice restaurants and a dive shop.

However, the music from some of the nearby clubs can be heard occasionally at night. There was a mix of people, couples with children, etc., staying when we were there, and all seemed to be enjoying their stay."

Hi Geeta,

We had a wonderful time, the penthouse was amazing and I know for a fact
that everyone wishes we were still there and not back in England! We are
looking to try and book room 402 for my sister and Stephanie to have the
interlinking door with the Penthouse for our stay 1-8th September but I am
waiting to confirm with my sister as they want to come back too for my 30th
Birthday! Plus I may try to do a two week holiday then and extend it to the
17th Sept but will let you know as soon as I do.

I would also like to say that not only was the room cleaned immaculately
and the staff the most friendly I have ever met but also all of us agreed
that the service at the Yellow Bird to be far and above any other that we
have stayed in. Plus we all love Roderick the Barman! and everyone there!

Thank you so much for all your help,

I am looking forward to September already!

Thanks again

Andrea x
